|Recommended: NoI have lived at Brownpoint Reserve for about 2 years. The positive is that the interiors are nice. The negatives are ZERO support for the property from the staff and the inability to see or do any preventative maintenance on items. I am writing this as our garage door is broken. Meaning that anyone who parks underground is LOCKED inside. Calling after hours maintenance leaves you with this has been reported and no information on if they have done anything. Like have you called out emergency repair to overhead door In two years I have spent about 50K in rent. Repairs are haphazard, cleaning is haphazard and I can walk by and see that someone removed a hallway fire detector -- any employee could see the same thing and yet it goes unreplaced. I know the exact weight of my neighbor upstairs and how slow fast their dog is as the noise simply comes down from apartment to apartment. Extremely frustrated as nothing gets fixed until it breaks.
|Recommended: YesGarage — It would be great if you could put one of those bristle mats by the elevators in the garage so you can get the grit off of your shoes from the garage floor. Also, maybe clean the floors in the garage to clear out the rocks and grit that makes its way in
Thanks
|Recommended: YesBrownpoint Reserve Apartments — Brownpoint Reserve is close and convenient to my work and Greenway station. I enjoy coming home to a clean and classy apartment building. My apartment is extremely spacious with appliances that work well.
|Recommended: YesBeautiful Apartment — This is the most beautiful apartment I've lived in. I love the area-- set back with a gorgeous view that goes for miles, yet close enough to fantastic shopping and dining. The landscaping is beautiful. People keep up with their pets. I don't hear my neighbors though we're on the top floor-- I sometimes wonder if our neighbors hear us. Our apartment is huge and rent is very reasonable for what we get. High speed internet is included in the rent. Management is helpful, and maintenance keeps the place very clean. I absolutely love living here. The only thing is that residents keep to themselves and I don't know my neighbors very well, and my guy and I were hoping to network and or meet some new friends.
|Recommended: NoLet down with Brownpoint Staff Maintenance — We've made multiple maintenance requests in the past two weeks for someone to come fix our ground floor patio door. First, it wouldn't open. A maintenance man begrudgingly came and temporarily fixed it, making a point to mention that it was the weekend. Then, it wouldn't open again. He came again and allegedly fixed it. It wasn't fixed. Then, the deadbolt got stuck. The door was wide open and couldn't close, and someone on the maintenance staff said it wasn't an emergency, even though we're on the ground floor and anyone could walk in. Following this, we've sent almost 10 emails, have made multiple calls, and nobody has gotten back to us about fixing the door. It's permanently locked. Having a ground floor door was important to us and we haven't been able to use it at all. Really frustrating lack of care from the Steve Brown team.
|Recommended: YesWonderful apartment — I love this apartment and am very impressed with maintenence and staff in general.
|Recommended: YesRotten garbage smell in the hall way - waiting 3 weeks to fix a trash chute — Cost of rent vs. maintenance is subpar. Reports of a broken trash chute starts as a small problem and then get bigger as the door is without a handle, won't close so is held open. Rotting trash from the dumpster creates horrible odors in hallways. Residents open exit doors and hold open to rid the hallway of the trash smell or the AC is broken or the trash bin is simply letting air into the hallways at a rate overwhelming AC.
As a resident, we pay exclusive high rents -- for lackluster common facilities and overall deteriorating maintenance. Outdoor gas firepit hasn't worked since October of 2020 with no rememdy other than reported as a known problem.
You can walk the halls and see holes and dangling wires where smoke detectors were removed and not replaced, stains on carpeting - though they did replace all of the 3rd floor carpeting due to pets urinating and pooping on the carpet -- really need some onsiite management not just office staff. Even the Steve Brown truck is parked in a non-parking spot in the garage -- likely blocking access for any emergency vehicles that would have to enter the garage.
Five star rent and 1 star support maintenance -- lived here going on 2 years hoping things will get better...but until residents constantly report problems - their is a blind eye mentality of the staff.
|Recommended: YesStellar place to call home — You really cannot beat Brownpoint Reserve and Steve Brown. I’ve lived in the Steve Brown community for five years now and I’m always happy to say that I always feel like “I’m home” The property management are second to none. The maintenance staff are knocking at your door the moment you have an issue. The amenities and attention to detail are perfected. And two recent examples to spout I needed to move to get closer to green space access because my dog needed it. The property management helped me move immediately and seamlessly. A physical issue can make it hard for me to get around. The property management helped move my parking spot to easy access to the elevator. What more can I say Steve Brown and Brownpoint Reserve is a stellar place to call home
|Recommended: YesAlthough moving is never a fun adventure and we have had some issues. Sami has been fantastic to work with. So far we really enjoy the outdoor space, the grill is always clean and the fireplace is a really nice touch. The hallways are noisy but the apartment is quiet. The location is very convenient...close to several parks and shopping.
|Recommended: YesThis is a beautiful apartment — So far, I am loving this apartment Things are so convenient, and everything is beautiful
|Recommended: YesNice Community — Brownpoint Reserve is a great quiet community. The apartments are very nicely constructed and the amenities on the property are something that elevate the experience here.
|Recommended: YesHigh end finishes with large apartments — Seems like a great property, but two big things for me that make it a step below my previous apartment
-- Moving in was a massive pain not due to anything from management , but the doors in the front of the building are tiny and are awkwardly angled. Probably took twice the effort to move in than my previous place. I doubt Brown Point would ever do this for financial reasons, but making double doors in the front would be great for residents and probably save your doors some abuse.
-- The biggest thing though is the gym. I think Brown Point can spend very little couple thousand tops and make their gym much better row machine, bench press, squat rack, another bench, etc . This I think makes a lot of sense for Brown Point to pursue. It would make current tenants happier, and it would improve your ability to attract retain other residents. The gym was the biggest reason I stayed at my other property for a few years.
Glad to be here though
